The Nominations for the 2009 Film Independent Spirit Awards have been announced and our very own Jason Orans is up for the prestigious Spirit/Piaget Producers Award for his work producing Gigantic Pictures' YEAR OF THE FISH and GOODBYE SOLO.

GOODBYE SOLO director Ramin Bahrani and Cinematographer Michael Simmonds were also nominated for their previous collaboration CHOP SHOP.
